[V8] 40 mpg A8

I just drove an E320 CDI.  Turo Diesel I-6.  Very nice.  With our software it made 440lb ft torque.  I would bet the farm that diesels will take off in the US once the low sulphur fuels arrive. Can't wait.

What is it about the low sulfur fuel anyway?
Do these engines use technology different from the 4 banger TDI?
I would love to see a V6 diesel that has enough power to pull a small camp
trailer but still gets decent mileage.
It would be even better if it could burn bio-diesel.

This is one of the big holes in Detroit's long term strategy. (surprise)
They make a great dump truck diesel, but reasonably sized and efficient car
motors seem to be beyond their grasp.
