[V8] crank bolt

Using the idea of the 2079 tool, and the help of a fellow lister, (Ken?) I made
my own generic 2079. The idea is to take a length of pipe that fits over your
breaker bar. Weld a 1/2" drive cheapo impact socket at 90 degrees to one end of
the pipe. If you use a socket that is cylindrical (or not stepped in any way)
this is easier to weld.

here is some asci art to try to explain it:

t=torque wrench 1/2" drive
s=welded socket to pipe
p=pipe
b=breaker bar
h=socket head of breaker bar

t
--------|
        o=====----|
        s p    b  h

Slip the pipe over the breaker until the distance measured from s to h is 3
feet.
Duct tape the pipe in place. You now have a 3X torque multiplier.
The cost to make this is near nothing for most of you. Even if you have to buy
all the parts, it will be much cheaper than the real 2079.

Set the torque wrench to 1/3 of the specified torque - the crank bolt gets set
to 330 lb/ft so set the wrench to 110 lb/ft.

The nice part about this setup is you can use a relatively cheap torque wrench,
and you can use it for other purposes too.
I use mine all the time to service the hubs on my Fords.
