Your thinking is correct. Certainly a moisture issue here. Here's what I
would do:
Find as dry a place as possible, open all windows/doors and put a big
airflow fan either into the passenger compartment or pointing at it so that
airflow goes through car, thereby forcing the excess mositure out. Is the
caroeting soaked, btw?
Try the same on the underside of the car. It's quite possible that you got
moisture/water ingress into the solenoid switch connectors and that they are
not functioning properly.
Until you've gotten rid of excess moisture, your codes may not give you the
true story -- moisture will mess up/mask the true problem.
BTW, relay under the driver's speaker -- only things there are the two
ECU's, I believe - one for engine and the one underneath that -- for the
tranny (though there may be a relay for the turn signal/hazzard lights). I
believe all the other relays are under thefront passenger carpet -- which
would also be a good thing to remove so that things can dry up.
