[V8] distributors mounting

This may be obvious to some, but a small mirror is an essential item in
any tool box. I've bought several of the real small ones on telescopic
handles, yet I found the ones in my wife's make up kit work the best
;-). With all the tight spaces in the V8 engine compartment a mirror
can be a real help. Take a look at the orientation of the slot with a
mirror and you will understand the offset position. As Cobram said,
slow steady pressure will get them in.

DO NOT force them in. The distributors are indexed to the cam, they
only
go in one way, DO NOT use longer bolts to force them in, if you line up
the slot and you think the resistance is from the new orings, lube them
a
little with oil or silicone. Since they only go in one way, you would
really have to try to put them in 180 out. Feel around as you push them
in to make sure the seals are centered, if they're not and you force it
they could tear. Steady pressure.

Look at it this way: in a hundred years, who's gonna care?
