I have heard that Blau sells the repair kits, although I haven't done mine
yet (I have keyless entry).

Found these images via google, they look right based on when I inspected the
drivers door originally, and are the flush type.

With this in mind I think I can prep myself with the right tools to do this,
could someone verify for me which way the rod (labelled #3 in the 2nd pic,
and #2 in the 3rd pic) moves when the handle opens? Based on these drawings
I need to move that downwards to pop the door. I just hope I can get to it.

Subject: [V8] help! need photos of door lock mechanism
Tonight my wife drove the v8 to school (taking night classes) and when she
went back out to the car to go home, went to unlock the passenger side door
(drivers side is already broken, it's the key turns but nothing happens
other than arming/disarming the car scenario) and the passenger side breaks
too! I've seen this mentioned before on here and know I need to get the
repair kit, but that doesn't help me get the car back home.
I've got a slim-jim, and a good collection of shop tools, so I'm confident I
could likely pop the lock myself, but I'm hoping someone has a drawing or
photo of the lock mechanism I can use for reference so I'm not just banging
around in there and breaking something else. I checked the KB but didn't
see a photo of the door opened up.
The car is in a safe place for the night, but I'd like to go get it tomorrow
if at all possible. I considered the locksmith approach, but late at night,
I didn't want the extra call out fees etc. If I can't get it myself in
daylight, I'll call in a pro. when it's not going to hurt the wallet so
much.
Any tips/BTDTs etc would be greatly appreciated.
