[V8] help! need photos of door lock mechanism

You may need to find your "entry point" into the vacuum system in the trunk
lid however. I don't recall my V8's having the pump in the trunk. You should
be able to remove a cover on the back of the trunk lid and get to a vacuum
line there though.
