[V8] Notice lights blinking today

Yes.  If you mean it will not crank.  If you mean it cranks, but doesn't
start, then no, the stock alarm will not do that.

If it won't turn over, try this:

Hook up a battery charger directly to the two leads (remove rear seat
bottom, flip over and plop on roof).  Then close the car door and use the
key to lock and then unlock the car.

Then reattempt to start car.
