[V8] Fuel at $3 + per gallon

Now that I work from home usually 3 to 4 days a week I'm much calmer
about this stuff. I still love driving the V8, but last year I sold one
of them and bought an 04 Jetta TDI. It doesn't get the mileage that the
earlier models did, but its a hoot and I get 35 city, 38 hwy no matter
how I drive it - and a 550 to 600 mile range. I balanced it with a
motorhome that gets 9. (!)
The best part is the motorhome has a 150 gallon tank and its sitting in
the driveway. All I need is a transfer pump and I've got 6 months worth
of fuel ready to go into the Jetta. I can wait out this price spike no
problem...
If Audi would get off their butt and import the A4/A6 TDIs, people would
now be lined up down the street to buy them.
