That may be true, but our distances are much further.  

For example, until very recently, my commute was touching 150 miles, or
about 240 kilometers, every day.

That's the same as driving from London to Chesterfield, every single
day.

If I still had that commute, I shudder to think what I'd be spending for
petrol right now.

UK PRICE'S =$8.40 PER GALLON 95 RON 
                    =$9.10 PER GALLON 97 RON SUPER  YOU COULD ALWAYS TRY
A L,P,G GAS CONVERSION ON THE V8 THAT'S RUNNING  AT $2.80 PER GALLON
BUT MOST CARS HATE IT AND AM SURE THE V8 WOULD BE THE  SAME.
 ALL OUR THOUGHTS HERE IN THE UK GO OUT TO THOSE IN AND AROUND  New
Orleans TONIGHT PICTURES ON CNN REALLY PUT  INOPERATIVE CRUISE CONTROL
INTO PERSPECTIVE.
