[V8] Fuel at $3 + per gallon

I have a line on a '93 4.2 with comfort seats.  It is priced right,
but my problem with it (being priced right) is that it has 193K miles
on it and it needs a timing belt change. And I'd rather have sport seats.

Can you run a V8 to 300K miles?  Will the automatic transmission
last that long?  The rest of Audi's peculiarities I can live with.

Should I stay away from it?  I'd keep my '94 100 S as a spare, so I
would have a fall-back position if either one needed work.
