[V8] Vespa???

Supercharged or turbocharged diesel 2-strokes are a different beast.  They use the forced induction to fill the cylinder while a normal 2-stroke uses the pressure built in the crank case during the pistons downward stroke.  Because the intake and exhaust ports are open at the same time, you can not really boost the engine.  Any extra air will just exit through the open exhaust port.  I bet, however, that a little extra air would help to rid the chamber of leftover exhaust gases and might make a few hp...all the while dumping the extra air and fuel out the exhaust port.

I wonder if you even could turbo/blow one? It would mean pressurizing the case -
wouldn't it?

I know 2-stroke diesels HAVE to be turbo'd, but they are a different beast.

I believe that all your gigantic sized diesels - like locomotive class stuff -
is all 2-stroke diesel.
