[V8] oil drain plug trick

Yes -
I have tried solid copper and AL (nearly same size as  Porsche drain plug - so
my parts guy has them in stock) and the OEM - which is some sort of stamped
metal with a crushable center. Maybe I just have something wrong with either my
pan or plug - although I can not see it. I have never found a fiber or rubber
washer that would fit.
So - the tape is just easy and cheap. It takes a minute or two to get it put on
- but no big deal.
