Of course--but who's talking about expecting "accolades"? I'm 
referring to a mystifying lack of courtesy to simply say "thank you" 
when listers make a voluntary donation--e.g., nothing more needed 
than a simple email to acknowledge a donation received (and 
hopefully, even appreciated). On the basis of three unacknowledged 
donations I've made to audifans in past years, I conclude that Dan 
must think my $15 or $20 checks are not worth his trouble--so what 
kind of "message" does that send (i.e., concerning the actual need 
for such donations)? On a more practical note, if I hadn't been able 
to verify that my checks were cashed, I'd never have known if my 
money had ever reached Dan.

I'm not trying to discourage listers making donations to audifans, 
just giving a heads up about the silent treatment they're likely to 
receive.
