my bet - fuel lines under the air cleaner shroud - in the back.
it'll probably be a pinhole and a very fine mist under pressure.
had that happen with mine. I smelled fuel for a few days, searched everywhere, and finally found it at the shop with one person holding a flashlight on the lines to spot the tiny mist. it was evaporating off before I could find it when the car was turned off warm.
I replaced all the lines with new metal but you COULD do rubber lines... if you want.
if the car has any rust or salt corroded areas, it probably has that problem in the lines.
John
PS - you DO want to find that before it gets more serious :)

Subject: [V8] Hint of Fuel Smell
In the past week I have noticed a distinct fuel odor. I have only recently
changed the oil. but did not spill or go into the engine bay any further than
the Oil cap and Oil drain door.
Does anyone have any ideas? I hope the 4 legged rodents that roam at night
did no harm.
What should I check?
Scott.
