It sounds like the oil pump seal to me if it's that low on the cover and the
amount it seems to be puking out. I did the TB saga about two years ago
and did not change the oil pump bearing or seal, but did replace everything
else inlcuding the little plastic bushing for the dampner. Buttoned
everything up and lo and behold, when I started the beast not two minutes
later the oil pump bearing started to jingle!!!! It instantly killed all
gratification of just accomplishing the TB task. It P&ssed me off so much
that I went out and bought an UrS6 and put the V8 in storage. I want to
sell it but who the heck would buy it with the oil pump bearing sounding
like a jar of marbles being shaken? I am sure they would beleive me when I
tell them that everything on the front of the motor is new except that
particular bearing!

oh well. maybe when it warms up I'll open her up again and take care of it.

If anyone is interested it is a 90 Blk/Blk sport seats 125K miles.
