[V8] ISV valve cleaning

I removed the ISV valve in order to remove the air temp sensor.
The valve itself has some openings and also the place where it mounts
has the same deep holes.
1. How do you go about cleaning it ?
2. Should I also remove the part that the ISV mounts on to clean it as
well ?(the one held by 3 Allen bolts)
