Have you serviced the ISV (Idle Stabilizer Valve)? It's on the front of the
engine, and is held on by 3 nuts and a connector. Try pulling that off and
cleaning it with carb and choke cleaner. Also, check the connector itself.
That may be your problem as well...

When in park the engine still has a tendency to idle poorly but not as
pronounced as in park.It idles Ok then it kind of chokes then Ok again.
In drive is much worse of course but it does not die.
So could it be something else still ?
In case it's the solenoid valve how big a deal is it to have it fixed ?
I don't need a rebuild do I ?
