Having seen and driven the car, I can attest to the car needed mostly
maintenance. The suspension is fine. In fact, I was shocked to see the
factory locktite still on the suspension pieces. The suspension looked like
new. The wear was on the front tires. They way the car drove indicated it
was toed out a degree or two. The pump, likely is fine. My v8 has 200K on
it and the original pump still works great. I would put my money on the
high pressure hose. But, you are certainly right about the maintenance
issues. I am willing to bet every fluid in the car other then the oil is
original.
