[V8] It's that time of year...related to O2 Sensor Gas Mileage Thread :-)

Huh? Help YOU? Lol. Seriously, I will be happy to help when I can.
Possibly this weekend, probably next weekend (depending whether I'll
be doing business over the weekends). About time you got that rack
replaced, Zay! And that labor is dirt cheap. Why do I have a
feeling that guy will be swearing up a storm? Lol.

Your front coolant temp sensor is either flakey or the connection
is. When it gets a bad signal it causes the coolant gauge to go to
full overtemp and the super duper cyclone fan is activated. The
sensor is the one just to the right of the throttle body and plugs
into the intake manifold (black sensor top). The lead is
ridiculously short and tight, which I surmise is part of the
problem. Coolant tank leaking from the seams indicates overpressure
of the coolant system. No fix for the tank except for replacing the
tank. But first find out why it's splitting. Cylinder head gasket
leak? Clogged radiator? bad thermoswitch at radiator?

Ingo

Good luck my friend!
