[V8] auto gear box numbers

Like ALL auto V8Q's your car has a 4speed ZF 4HP-24A (Audi Automatic
gearbox 018). Any shop which rebuilds or repairs transmissions should
have no problems repairing it. Parts are plentiful (most internal
components were used in BMW and some other ZF boxes.)
It's been a while, but I believe the identification plate is on the left
side, near or under the brown multi- function switch.
The transmission includes the transfer case with center diff and the
front final drive and diff. Here is a picture of the beast out of the
