[V8] Coolant Problems HELP!!!

It's a pressurized system.  Only maybe 14 pounds, but still pressurized.
Pressure increases the boiling point of the coolant.  It boils because you
can't keep the pressure up.  Folks who've tried to patch these reservoirs
all report there's no good bonding adhesive available.    You could try
wrapping around and over the crack with some of that epoxy sealing tape:
