[V8] location of rear Audi rings emblem?

Try 7/8" or ~22 mm as measured at the trunklids of 3 V8's ( a '90, a '91 and
a '93 and one trunklid-only (not sure what year V8 that one's from   :-)

That's measured at the bottom of the rings to the lower lip of the trunklid.
