[V8] Strange issue

Yeah disconnect the OXS and see if it changes. Then I was thinking of one
of the temp sensors. The back/passenger side one gets pretty oily back
there, although I don't remember which function it is responsible for at the
moment.
I'd also caution him about idling it in park. I guess the deal is to not
have put it into any gear while doing so because of that issue where it
wears out the clutch packs or something. This has made me paranoid as hell
with mine because I don't feel like I've seen/heard the definitive word on
the issue.
Anyway, not what you asked about. Unplug the OXS and see what happens.

... sounds like a cold OXS to me ... has he replaced the OXS lately? It
will be interesting to pull codes as that will tell you if the ECU is seeing
a problem with the XOS heater circuit.
A test for this theory would be to simply disconnect the sensing lead of the
OXS to see if the situation improves ...
