I guess you'd have to remove it to tell, but does the starter spin?
It may be that the solenoid is OK, but the starter doesn't spin on
its own, and therefore can't/won't turn over the engine.

I'd pull the starter and test it. And while it is out, I'd manually
turn the engine over to check all the teeth on the flywheel. With
luck, may be just an intermittent problem with the starter.
