[V8] Oil Weight

And I'll back William up on this. Every VAG car I've had was acquired
with (a) high-ish miles and (b) standard-issue 10W30 in the crankcase.
Some leaking more than others. Changed all to M1, and no new or
worsened leaks ever developed. Though I have a bit of OCD when it comes
to a dry motor, and always try to avoid letting oil leaks linger.
By the by, consulting this list is a large part of doing your own
research. Ask 10 different automotive petroleum lubricating experts and
you'll get 10 different answers. If you DO develop new leaks upon
switching, I'd chalk that up to seals that were borderline at best. And
now you have an easy way to identify weak points in your car's oiling
system, making the inevitable repair much easier...
Show me a car that springs new leaks after switching to sythoil and I'll
show you a poorly maintained car with sludge and goopy glop in every
nook and cranny.
