[V8] engine rattle

I too have this rattle from the same area of my 93. I bought it from the 2nd owner with 110k and the original timing components. Drove it home and parked it until I could change the belt and all related parts. I never heard the rattle before I replaced all of the timing components, but it was "new" 93. I have 2 90's & a 91 parts donner so I was just drooling over the 93 and not really listening to everything. Now, after the belt change there is this distinct noise from the drivers side head. It is not there when the engine is cold. Once the engine comes up to temp. you can here the "rattle". I went back in and completely tore it all down & rechecked everything including the oil pump bearing.I couldn't find anything that was wrong. Put it all back together, runs great, but the rattle is still there when it's up to temp. I can buy into the lifter theory, but to me it really doesn't sound like one that is bleeding down. The "rattle" seems to come from the timing belt teeth meeting the
cam gear. I too would like to find the reason for the 'rattle!

Regards
Peter
