[V8] rack&pinion...auto trans

I think I know what the seller may be talking about ... 
 
After the UI debacle Audi became an expert in shift lockout mechanisms for automatic cars ... I understand that other marques actually sourced the design from VWAG.  The shift lock and steering lock are interconnected on the automatic cars ... could it be that this mechanism is not functioning?

no..in fact the rack is the same basic rack as your t-44. they will interchange.
sounds like the seller is either full of bs or just don't know.
