As far as "what VW repair "......I'm talking about collision/other repair  in 
general terms. Most new cars have subframes and numerous other mounts that  
conceptually are mounted in a manner similar to captive subframe nuts on  
VW/Audis......Audi does not in fact have a monopoly on attaching subframes/or  
other things with captive bolts that strip out, in fact, it happens all the  time 
to other makes of cars :-)
