15 minutes??? What is the ambient temp? Is it getting to be well below
freezing?

I'm not thinking coolant temp sensor myself, but I suppose it could be. If
you have a way to read out the ECU data blocks you can read the temp value
the ECU sees.

I'm wondering if you're having a problem with fuel pressure. Have you tried
warming up the battery and topping up the charge before attempting to start?
I haven't seen the V8 to be as susceptible to low battery voltage as other
Audi models, but it could be. Can you tell if you're getting spark?
