[V8] catalytic converter removal?

I wonder what would happen to California air if everyone took off their cats?
For something that "doesn't do much", the clear evidence (pun intended) seems
pretty obvious.

I may have missed this history lesson - but were catalytic converters forced on
us by the evil liberals who want to take our freedoms?

Having owned non-emission controlled cars as well as fully computerized, I would
never go back. The new motors are by far cleaner, last longer, make more power
per cubic inch, and require far less maintenance. Al would be proud.

As for his movie, I have not seen any credible evidence that anything in it is
false or mis-leading. It is based on what scientists from all over the world
have learned to date. (I have not seen the movie yet btw - but plan to) In fact,
sane, educated people from all over the world hail it as a fair and accurate
work.
