[V8] Engine is out!

700 HP?????

Egad. That's a tall tale or a huge set of injectors...

The thing about bolts is they can come loose much more readily -- the
correct nut is the squished oblong copper/bronze/brass deal... I renewed
all of mine from the local hardware store.

Don't sweat the heads -- think of the excuse for port/polish, new
everything, 3-angle valve job, and maybe a shave!

Get those Girls on ice now!

Oh, and BTW, how I knew I had a bad ring set in one cylinder (but
reassembled anyway due to lack of parts hook-up) was I had all the pans
and what-not off, and with it on a stand, filled left bank cylinders
with the GM top cleaner and let it sit overnight. Next morning, barely
any leaked through. Rotated block, filled remaining four, and within a
few hours it had all leaked through in one of the cylinders.

Actually, though, with the heads all redone and all, the car ran great
when all back together -- and barely burnt any oil at all!

Keep us posted...
