[V8] How to use the transmission dipstick 20:)?=

Eyvind,

I'm not sure exactly, but I believe the total transmission system  
capacity is more on the '92-'94 V8's as you have (should have) the  
additional trans cooler where the horns used to mount at the driver's  
side frame rail.  It also has an additional cooling fan in front of  
the auxiliary cooler.  Not sure about transmission reading step(s) on  
the later cars, either, as all I have documentation for is for the '90.

In any case, with regard to checking trans fluid level, make sure the  
engine has warmed up sufficiently -- 20 minutes running or 20 km  
driving in city traffic and check the fluid level while engine is  
running and in park on level surface.  I'd imagine the rule of  
refilling 4 quarts or ~4 liters after draining the fluid out of the  
pan drain plug would be good place to start.
