I've had the same issue.  I drag out an old 90 mhz laptop that still  has 
windows 98 and the CD works fine.  I've contacted Bentley and they  recommended 
that I send in the CD with $20 and a couple of Cheerios boxtops and  they said 
they would send me an XP compatible version.  I'm rather amused  by the old 
laptop still having a function other than flattening wrinkled  magazines ;-)
