[V8] background on the 94 that was on ebay?

The '94 on ebay is the nicest, lowest mileage, latest model V8 that anyone
has seen in years.

The only issues are the asking price (as judged by folks who gleefully seek
low priced examples) and sour grapes that ensued after the owner reported a
poor experience with a loved vendor; a thread that deteriorated into 2-way
name-calling and general bad behavior on the part of several listers and the
owner.

The car appears to be fine. The old adage of "Buy the nicest one you can
afford" really means that the additional cost of buying a nice one is much
cheaper than the cost of bringing a more common example up to snuff; and
there's no way to purchase either "original" or truly low miles on an entire
package.

However, having said that, I think Roger's estimate of $6800 is lots closer
to real value than the $11k that the buyer is asking.

but it seems there was some banter on here about this car recently if
I recall, or maybe just about the owner?
