Bob
Do you have enough of the plug visible to be able to weld a piece of allen
key to it and then use a socket and wrench on the stub of the allen key? I
used this method successfully to remove rounded allen bolts in the quattro
crank pulley when I did my rebuild some years ago.
If you don't have enough visible, I would go with heat and a punch and few
beers. I would not give up on it, you'll regret it. It will be in the back
of your mind always. Nor would I consider using an easy-out. A complete
mis-nomer if ever there was.

Good luck

p.s. it'll be easier to get at if you roll the 911 on it's side!

gallon, bought a nice 1/2 inch drive 17mm hex socket and set aside a hour to
do the job. WRONG!!!!

dirt. All the books said make sure you do the "Fill" plug first just in
case you drain the oil and then can't get the "Fill" plug out.

stripped and after an hour of playing with it is now flush with the casing.
(No allen head is even left on the plug)

ez-out or should I just give up and suction out the old oil from the "fill"
plug and re-fill it. I'm afraid the suction method is not going to get the
sludge out.
