Wow that didn't work well on the last email.
What I was trying to say was. I live in MN where pot holes (and I guess
bridge collapses, joking here) are a common thing. I don't want 800 lbs
springs as it most likely would result in bent or broken something.
Remember by stiffening the springs all shock loads are increased to each
component in the system. A system is only as strong as it's weakest link
and frankly that is the sub-frame in the front and track arms in the rear.
I know I am building a car that will be a compromise of stiffness, handling
and ride quality, but that's all engineering is a series of compromises to
get the best results allowed be a set limitations and restrictions. My car
might not be the fast round a track (hell it ain't a 4.2L 5-speed), but it
will suit my needs, wants and desires. If it turns out I'm wrong I can go
back, that's what's nice I do sort of have an undo button.
