[V8] 1992 V8, west coast, eBay special

I asked the seller and he said that the cover got cracked when it was
off for timing belt replacement and only the top part is not back on.
 I wonder how much is not there and how the structural integrity is
affected.

Is that cover the same between 3.6 and 4.2 cars?

In case anyone's wondering, the color is Opal Mica.
