--- REMEMBER ---
to depress the brake pedal a good 20 times to
release any pressure in "the bomb" before you remove any
fittings on the hydraulic system. I forgot to do this and was quickly
reminded that the system stores around 1000 psi of pressure. It can hurt
you.
And - now is probably a good time to switch to the
"cheap stuff" for hydraulic oil.
If you have one hose
starting to leak, the others are not too far behind. BTDT.
The leaks
are caused by heat and time shrinking the hose under the compression
fittings.

you haven't aroused the Audi gods by saying

leaking pump. You know how they can get. But

thanks to everybody. The input I've gotten from you guys

definitely help. Oh, by the way, the leak is such that when I stop
> the pentosin smoke comes up out of the grill and from around the
hood
> seams and wheel wells. Yep, nothing says "nice
car" like clouds of
> underhood smoke after you stop. Thanks,
