... of course caution is always advised when working on the hydraulic system due to the high operating pressures.  The thing is that when the engine has stopped and pressures have equalized after a minute or two the only line that should be pressurized is the line that goes from the bomb to the brake booster.  You know, I've never had to mess with this ... ever (except when working on the bomb of course).  I wonder if it isn't a hard line?

If you're worried about pressure built up you might want to also crank on the steering wheel back and forth a couple times to relieve any pressure in the lines from the pump to the rack.
