[V8] re; stand-alone

On Andrew's side, though, are those 15 or so year old electronics that seem 
to get harder to fix every year. Having spent about 60 hours trying to track 
down the cause of my perpetual check engine light for 75k now, I can 
understand why he wants to do this. And, as he has done a 5-speed swap 
already (I think I have the right one), he definately has the ambition and 
know-how.

But, I also understand making a "simple" machine work as intended as well. 
And, the V8's FI system is fairly straightforward and simple. Especially 
compared to more current stuff.
