I have actually thought about this. And it isn't a bad idea. And it might
happen....
Makes the search much simpler: just buy a Chebbie truck, and keep searching
for the V8.
I wonder what my wife would say....No: let's not go there!

Do both. Keep the Black Mariah, *and* buy a V8.
While the 20V is running, you can upgrade the V8 on your
mechanic's down time. If/when the 20V needs work, the V8
will be available. You'll have the best of both worlds
and will never be without an Audi. It will also slow
down the rate of mileage accumulation on each vehicle.
And buying/maintaining both Audis will still be cheaper
than purchasing a new Tahoe/Suburban 4x4.
