Steve.. any codes? 

Surging... off the top of my head.. MAF, IAC , MAP , FPR , Vac Leak in
that order

Accelerator.. cable hung up. Remove the air filter box (2x13mm) and your
right there. Easy to check, also might be the throttle return spring. 

Car is in first.. you sure., it's not D (limp mode).. on the IC is only
D lit? (again codes)..

V8ers,

I have a patient 1990 white v8 that I need to fix, sell or donate to the

local high school.

Car has 3 big problems.

- car idle goes up and down while in park -
- accelerator doesn't work - when I rev the engine it barely goes up
- car stays in first.

2 lesser problems

- leaking steering pump
- rear control arm bushings worn

If, I could get the first 3 done I might save the car.  Otherwise it
might 
be a good parts car for someone.
