[V8] Odd windshield wipers...or maybe just a cranky old Audi?

... if this were the case it seems to me the wipers would be trying to wipe the hood ... it sounds like the wipers are running over the windshield, they just park in the wrong place.
For the windshield wipers this probably means the park switch has moved ... still fairly simple, but you've gotta dig under that black plastic cover and get to the wiper motor and adjust the park switch. It really isn't that difficult to extract the entire wiper mechanism from under the hood ... this might be necessary to get to the park switch ...
... follow up on the "wiping the hood" comment ... the headlight wipers on my cars are disconnected because they have a tendency to forget which part of the polar coordinate system is their intended operating range ... so the end up running into the bumper. I tested the theory that the blades were coming loose on the shaft, but that isn't the case. Never had a chance to open one up ... they seem to be quite difficult to access without pulling the bumper ... anyone have BTDT with repairing this issue with headlight wipers?
