I have mixed feelings about your mishap. I feel sorry for your loss of money and time and I am relieved that I am not the only one with such an experience. The same happened to me last week. That O-ring just stuck there and I never checked to see if I had removed it along with the filter. Sorry for your loss and thanks for the laugh.
