It seemed to me that the electric fan would never go on in V8Q #2, even
when temp gauge was indicating high temp. But things didn't really seem
THAT hot when I opened the hood. Radiator was brand new GDI and
everything else checked out (I even replaced the chip in the cluster). I
knew I was going to do the traffic crawl for an hour or two in summer
traffic every week and was fed up enough to where I was going to park it
till winter. Didn't have a non contact thermometer, so I stuck a piece
of cardboard (KISS tool #6987) in front of the radiator, after about 5
minutes the electric fan did it's thing. Didn't overheat once in
traffic, no blown reservoir cap, hoses etc. I still kept the "Ingo" GB
hose and a couple gallons of H2O in the trunk, just in case.
