I agree that it is hard to find someone to work on the car without
destroying it - thats why I do all of my own work - plus I can't afford to
pay someone and still have a broken car! In regards to the last post I
will note that I mentioned messing up the spiral spring, but you can
remove the steering wheel without destroying it. I don't agree with the
turn signal thing - it will actually be more messed up if you leave it
because the tab that flips the switch is a fixed part of the steering
wheel. In the last post you will notice that I said - if the car tracks
strait and the wheels are not wearing - which should indicate that the car
is in alignment - only then would I move the wheel. From the sound of
things it seems that the wheel has been moved before anyway. To take it
further, I would suggest that the next time you need an alignment that you
get the special centering tool, (which I belive is a rod of a certain
length that locks the rack) center the rack and put the steering wheel
where it needs to be. Thanks,
