Sorry for the late reply guys.. 
 
Mike.. on that diagram it's the upper connector (power), lower left
corner (unlabeled on that diagram). I got the information originally
from the Audio Forum (AW) for the Concert series of head-unit and
confirmed with s few guys there that it applied to the earlier cars as
well. The wire that you cut was the ground to the CD player (that you
might not have, so didn't notice the difference). The Concert I and
Gamma CC share the same connector pinouts. (and thus should be the same
for the Delta).
