[V8] '93 V8 Quattro on eBay

I think this is an interesting auction to watch.  In two weeks there will
have been two '93 V8's sold, one with many miles and one with reasonable
miles.  This should give a really good view of what the market is for these
cars. 

KBB and NADA Guides are all overly optimistic.  The values in the books are
based on some sort of voodoo economics.  Since there were so few 4.2 V8's
originally, now that they are 14 years old or so, it is unlikely that any
true actual cash value can be estimated except by watching the actual
auction process.

My bank gives me a used car valuation guide, and the value of a V8 Quattro
from 192-94 with sub-100grand on the clock is about $6500.  I believe my
bank before I believe KBB and those guys.

I am guessing that the '93 V8 on eBay will not bring three grand due to the
unfortunate temper tantrum of the owner and probably the unfortunate
opinionated brainless mouths who think that owning one car or another
somehow anoints them into knighthood.

We'll see.

Roger, I as well got the same chain message from Bill.
As you noted I did sense him being more calm &
reserved about the auction.
I as well told him he may get a better price for the
car..cause I as well suspect that that car is worth
more than the buy it now price!..but I told him he may
get the best exposure by listing the car on Audifans
marketplace.
 I did wish him luck & left it at that.
