[V8] Top speed of a '90 V8Q - Test track

Well, the FUN is staying out of jail and keeping deer chunks out of my 
radiator.  It's that season again. :(

Anyone have any ... clean ways of powering a radar detector?  German 
cars put the dad-gum cigarette lighter in the center of the dash, so any 
power plug sticks way out.   Has anyone run wires behind the console?  
Tapped into something else?  I'm considering running wires from the rear 
lighter outlet.
