[V8] My "Top Speed" Story....

There's always the "Silver State Classic" (Nevada).  They close the  road 
between two isolated towns (like 50 - 100 miles apart??)  Down and  back as fast 
as you want.  The police give mock speeding tix that only  require a donation. 
 I sold my '68 Corvette (Traco 427 stretched to 440) to  a guy who ran the 
race. His round-tip average was 168.  In the last year or  two there was a 
horrendous crash where someone balled up a supercar.  They  were talking about 
limiting entries or something. Anyone have any updates?
